touch / mouse button movement starts accurate, then becomes inaccurate quickly

Hey! Pretty new user here, excited about how GS is making game-making easier, but have an issue i'm trying to work out.
I'm using a simple "Click / touch to accelerate towards finger / mouse" movement scheme.
(When actor recieves event "mouse button down", it accelerates towards the mouse position, relative to scene)
This starts out working perfectly, then quickly becomes quite inaccurate, usually right after the camera starts moving around.
It behaves the same way on the computer using a mouse and on my Android device.
Any ideas?
