iAds showing "Test Advertisement" - is this normal now?

Hey.
I just updated one of my free games "Dood Jump" which has iAds in it.
I really only updated it to have a play with the Playhaven stuff.....which works really well.

But now in the live version, it's showing the iAds with the blank "Test Adverisement".
I always thought that was just for ad-hoc/non live versions of the games, and if no ad could be served, it just wouldn't show anything.

Is this normal? deffo feels different to how I remember/would like it to be.

If your on an iOS Simulator or a beta release if iOS software, it's normal. Hope that helps!

If anyone fancies giving it a test for me to see if it works for them (it's a free game)

@Sparkyidr Out of curiosity, is the version of the game you have on your phone downloaded from iTunes? Did you make sure to delete any adhocs that were still on your device? If you downloaded from store, but didn't delete adhoc first, may be confusing them.

Yeah... that was my first thought, that I had save data from an adhoc causing some sort of conflict.
So I totally removed the version I had, and re-downloaded as of today.

I'm guessing one of the following:
    1. You app isn't registered with ad-hoc.
    2. It's just that you app isn't registered with app or something.
    3. Apple's being retarded.

It might be that you have not setup itunes connect to send ads. Did you activate iADs before sending in your binary?

It was an update to an existing game. So I didn't change anything.
But In my iAds control panel, I got the message saying that :
"Your app is now eligible to receive ads from the iAd Network | News" as expected.

So I assumed everything was fine.....pretty sure I have never had to do anything in all of the other updates I did to the game.

Has anyone managed to test for me to see if it works on their device?
Much appreciated it if anyone can spare 5 mins to give it a go. If it works for you, then I know it's an issue with my device....if it doesn't, then I know there is a bigger prob to figure out.

    :)

    @tendrmer
Cheers for the test. much appreciated.

At least I can ignore it for tonight, as I know it's just my device. :)

    Thanks
