Alarm Clock in Background

Hey Guys, I know this has been asked before, but I'm wondering if there are any new answers.

Is it possible to create an Alarm Clock app for iOS using game salad?

Is it possible to get alarms even if the app is not running in the foreground?

    Thanks for your responses guys.

So if I want to use GameSalad to create it, I would just have to instruct them to leave the clock running right?

but after like 5 min it would go to sleep and the app would stop working.... so the alarm wouldn't sound

Shame, I recalled that a couple folks built clock apps in GS, but wondered how they got around some of the inherent limitations of GS (I see now they did not). I wanted to build a specialty clock App in GS while I'm plugging away on my current project with @FryingBaconStudios, but I guess I'll just have to go the way of Objective C in Xcode then. Radians fun time. :-<
