Bribing for stars

Maybe it's just me and it goes against my code, but I personally do not like seeing how the Appstore's review system is becoming meaningless for certain developers. "Give me/us 5 stars and I'll/we'll give you free content!".

It's one thing to ask for users to leave a review (since many don't), but it is a completely different and shady to ask users to leave high marks for a free meal (there is a reason this is a no-no in many legal and political theaters). In fact, it kinda makes me sick. Let's not beat around the bush, it IS the definition of bribe. It's something that needs to be changed.

What's your feeling on this?

Well since there is no possible way to base your in app options on the rating in the store any developer claiming this is blatantly lying to their users

I couldn't agree more...the app store is getting sleazier by the minute, the in app purchase model is tricking young kids into spending money there parents don't have. but yeah so many companies are using shady methods to increase sales

Agree, it's off-putting to see that in so many games' descriptions.
