Is there any new info regarding the Kindle Fire menu bar bug? (I.e. If your game is in landscape mode, the menu/home bar still is placed in the portrait position.) Has anyone found any workarounds? Thanks.

What version of the creator are you using? I believe they fixed that in one of they latest releases

I'm on the newest build, @tenrdrmer . (0.9.92) Double checked that all my levels support only autorotate landscape. Still, it keeps popping up in the portrait mode. Is this because I am doing an ADHOC build vs the approved version through Amazon? I would think that this is the kind of thing that will get it rejected from Kindle Fire as well. This is my main release target.

Bug report away. Hopefully there is an easy fix for this or one is one the way shortly with the Kindle Fire audio bug fix. It's 54% of the android tablet market, don't cha know. ;)

Just updating this again to see if anyone out there has made any progress. Haven't heard anything more from GS headquarters after filing my bug report. I've tried everything I can think of. Enabling and Disabling accelerometer check box when publishing. Changing my scenes from autorotate left and right to just one or the other. (I.e. All left or all right.) Nothing. Still have the same issue. I'm getting itchy to try and publish, but won't until this gets resolved. Has anyone found some weird trick to it? Any info is greatly appreciated as always.

You can try to publish anyway. I have a couple of landscape games on the Amazon Appstore with the menu bar showing in the portrait position that got approved with no problems.

@MarkOnTheIron - Were they also approved for the Kindle Fire as well? That is my real target, and I've heard they can be finicky and look for any excuse not to approve for the Fire store.

Yes, they are also on the Kindle Fire. One of them even has the black bars of death since I was too lazy to fully optimize it for the Kindle screen size.

Maybe I just got lucky :)

Ah, the app review process. You have to love the (in)consistency of it all. ;)
