Man, I was really young at the time, but I recall seeing Star Wars multiple times that summer. I recall in San Diego, there used to be this awesome drive-in theater that was showing it. A neighbor friend's dad took us to go see the Bad News Bears there at the drive-in. Problem was that the drive-in had multiple out door screens so you could look left or right and see different movies playing. We were all looking to the left watching Star Wars again, even without the sound. Needless to say the dude's dad was not to happy when we were not paying any attention to the lame base ball themed movie. How could it compare?

Still remember going to the cinema to watch the 1st (last) 3 as a kid...think it was only £1.50 to see all 3 films one after another...ahh them were the days:P

I actually have never seen anything like batman, spiderman, or superman. The only movie related to superhero's that I've seen is thor maybe another I'm forgetting

We're showing our age, but I too remember seeing the first movie as an 8 year old, and the last one as a 13 year old. To me, the last 3 to come out (first 3) were a complete let down, and down right offensive. I have the original trilogy, un-re-edited, and it is one of my prize possessions. I do not own any of the newer ones. Saw them once, and considered a frontal lobotomy to remove them from my mind.
