I made a game with GameHaven, I'll let you know how it goes. Only had about 1000 downloads so far, but should still get some sense of $ value that would likely scale up. I should be getting some kind of report soon. It's been just over a month since i launched the game.
I haven't messed with Kiip yet, I'm kinda on the fence with that.. i mean it seems like it would be a bit of work to incorporate it and only then to find out if its really generating any revenue.. GameHaven was pretty painless to get going..
I just wish there were some in-app / ad options for Android.. really sucks to have to do paid or totally free..
Here is how you make money with ads. Make a good game. You needs lots of users to increase the odds of click through and or views. If you make a crappy game with say only a couple thousand download you won't make much at all. To really make money you need tens of thousands of downloads so make a popular game and you have better odds of making money with free play.
For PlayHaven I made 5000 downloads with Minicars Free, with interstitial ad when you change level, published about 2 months ago, and a very crappy app called "Girls Farts" just to try PlayHaven, with 200 download a day for 3 months, but today I have no reports
For Kiip I made 0,60$ from Stone Wheel 2 (about 2000 download in the US market)
I'm waiting for PlayHaven reports, but I think that AdMob+iAd would be the best way to make some revenues from GS games, I would personally pay 2000$ a year for a feature like AdMob

I would be willing to guess Kiip hasnt made anyone much money since its being dropped...
"Since most of the apps on the GameSalad network are games, we see high conversion rates to game downloads, which lead to high eCPMs (effective cost per thousand impressions) relative to other ad networks. Initial results have proven quite successful, as many developers are seeing gross eCPMs above $10 and nearly 100% fill rates. After PlayHaven takes its 50% cut, developers are seeing net eCPMs in the $5 range and some developers are earning thousands of dollars per month per game."
I do not want to use playheaven just for ads, but also for selling in app items as well, is that allowed? How do i configure the whole thing? I am new to the whole ipad and games, so wanted to understand before I jump in.
I received a $90,02 payment for april ad with PlayHaven, so now I can tell I'm very impressed by these results, because on april I made only a few downloads.
I'll wait for further reports, but now I think it's a very very interesting ad system
All implementations pass for GameSalad, you are not directly connected to PlayHaven.
@pinkio75 So if we would like to add complete features of playhaven, than what is the best way to make game? Can GS help in making inapp purchases with pro version? How are you guys selling your in game items if any?

@gamevicci if you dont mind me asking, how many downloads do you mean when you say "few"? Thanks!
@giacomopoppi I just did a correct count, downloads in april 2012 were 5618, so not so few, but with iAd revenues were about 40$/month, and remember that PlayHaven is not yet supported in all countries.
It's a very powerful ad system, but I think we NEED a way to see daily reports
Making money from PlayHeaven (Upsight) is too easy, you need to set up or Add your own 'more games' button and start delivering game recommendations to you players.
Use in both free and paid games without worry of negative reviews.

First of all PlayHeaven is now Upsight!

Why are you resurrecting two year old threads? Please don't do that.
