failed to sync app

i sent my coder my UID number for my iphone so that i could test the app on my phone when he sends me compiled versions, i tried to drag and drop the compiled app into i tunes and install on my phone but i get "app failed to install. i assume the coder made himself a new provisioning profile on his imac.
thing is on my itunes dev center i have my phone under device id's on there to if that makes any difference.
any help would be great.

Your device UDID needs to be on whatever provisioning profile the guy published with. Also the Profile must be an Adhoc and not a distribution profile.
