Like the sample applets that came with the tool, but more of them? Maybe there are some good starting points on the GameSalad site somewhere?

    I made some tech demos that people are free to use. They are all under my profile. I'm not sure they're necessarily for beginners, but feel free to look through the code to how I build things in GameSalad.

    I also started writing a set of tutorials about how to create a Platformer type game. It's in the how-to section of the Support section.

    TshirtBooth and weswog have created a bunch of video tutorials which are nice to get people up and running quicker.
