How do I accelerate my actor based upon the distance that my finger drags away from him at a certain angle. I am having the hardest time trying to figure this out. Also, I need to make my character only go so high up on the screen, let's say...320 pixels high.

Any help?

I'll try to make a demo within the next couple of days for you. This one might take me a bit to figure out.

Sorry about the late response, but I finally got around to making the demo, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm sure that some more advanced users know a solution. Hopefully somebody else looks at this thread.

    Sorry I couldn't help much,

@jckmcgraw thanks for the help anyway. I really appreciate it.

@tshirtbooth that's awesome thanks. The game is going to be the actor is on the ground but will be jumping up.

It is almost what I need but I need to tweak it a bit.

What I would like the main actor to do is have the directional arrow come upward but for a negative directional drag. So if I drag my finger down I want my character to fly upward.

I'm currently using the template you suggested for other projects too, so really, thanks for that.

Yes I have tsb. Can we e-mail about it? I have a great idea that I don't think I have seen yet.
