What are some review sites that you guys use to market your apps?

Hello Everybody,

I have been searching around on Google for a bit, and found an article on maniacdev.com mentioned a bunch of review sites. Does anybody use these? Are there any others that some of you might use and have had success with? Here is the link for the article...

Thanks in advanced,

@jckmcgraw i havnt used it yet..i am waiting until my update comes out on saturday!

But if you look on other posts people have had like 5,000 odd views, one or two have had like 200,000. Its mental. I think this is probably the best site to promote your game.

    hope it helped...

There was a post some time ago about the experience with CrazyMike. I think the end of it was that he is doing good videos (spends the time to understand the game and highlight the benefits), but no real impact on sales. Try to look it up in the forum.

Yes, there is no harm in that. It is just hard... try to get attention in the Promo Forum that they have. It is the easiest one to get views in. Something like $10 iTunes gift card promo for someone who is the first to do something... but it needs to be very clear, you don't want a bunch of angry people claiming that it's a scam because they didn't win.

I'll think about that. Do you think that it would make people want to get it even after somebody got the prize?

    Hello @sebmacfly, @barkingapps, @JustMe74, @Stamu,

I posted Mad Pigs on Touch Arcade's forums, but didn't get many downloads from it. I then gave a go with 148apps.com, and they posted an article in their blog today. Hopefully it can convert into downloads. Now all I have left to submit to is crazymikeapps.com. I'll do that sometime later this week.

Make a promotion that will last for a few days, at least you will get some attention. It will have to end at some point...

Personally, one app review site off the top of my head is Tapscape. It has a PageRank of 5 and an Alexa rank of 50k.

    Hope it helps!

Pocketgamer has various methods for addvettising paid and free.

Just be sure your game is a solid polished title. If it looks "lemonaid stand" they will likely pass it right up unless it is a slow news day for them.

Even though they are in the UK, they are popular here in the states as well. They also have their own pocket gamer app for mobile game news.

Youtube is like a free billboard, use it when and while you can. Make your own promo vid or even developer logs (behind the scenes etc). Get more than one video review if possible. But find someone who makes darm good vids and damn good reviews (not a hobby blogger).

Game sites, game sites, game sites.
Don't just settle with mobile game sites or iphone dedicated sites. Aim for other site communities that you may be involve in.

Facebook. Make a dedicated page for your app get likes make friends, give updates.

Linkedin. If you have freinds in various places that could spread word or help in addvertising this is a great place. Also you can keep tally of your product accomplishments for others to see, when interested in future business endeavors.
