With my Dad's 60th coming up i decided to make him a bar top arcade, just hope he likes it and he doesn't read the GS forums as it will spoil the surprise
It has hyperspin as a frontend with 40 systems and over 50k games most with video preview etc on a 2TB HDD.
I put the T-Moulding on today and a lesson learned, next time i will make the corners curved as it's hard to go round 90 angles.
Its bright orange not red as it looks in the pic.
This is the back of the cab minus the core 2 duo pc thats running the show.
From the top down we have a light, 2 pieces of plexi glass that will hold the marquee in place (see pic below) also i took off the monitor stand and used vesa mounts as it gives more support and added space for the pc.
I made a custom control panel using a mini pac + joystick and button set and wired up using a daisy chain of ground wires to the micro switches 1st then connected all the buttons and joystick wires, i nearly got it right 1st go but found out later i had a wire on the wrong switch but was only a matter of changing it over and it was all set up.
Need some cable ties for the wires and a good clean up to stop them dangling but pretty pleased with the result, i also added T-Moulding to the front on the CP.
Need to get some safety glass and a marquee and also do the back so will do a video of it up and running soon.

Perhaps it helps to use a hairdryer on the T-Moulding to soften them a bit so you can fit them easier.

Great job it looks really good, I've been intending to build a cabinet for years, maybe you've given me the push I need!

Got the glass in today and looking cool.

Some lesser known emulators are simply awesome,
Zinc, Mugen, Atomiswave and Naomi to name a few.

I did a custom control panel using an ipac which was really straight forward.
The front end is hyper spin which takes a little setting up and knowledge of xml is a plus.
