Questions regarding winning real life prizes for beating a game/ terms agreements.

Hi everyone! Just want to say how helpful these forums have been for helping me build my first game. I have a few questions.

And probably a million more tomorrow.

The game I am currently building is for a company client (I work for an interactive agency). One issue is that we'd like to have any player that has beaten the game to receive something like: a promotional code granting a 10% discount on any purchase. Ideally randomly generated codes that would be recorded somewhere in the client's system.

I'm imagining something like this would require some sort of login to an external account.
Could it be done with an Appstore/ Android login? Just things I'm considering.

Another issue is working with the brand itself. Considering that we have permission to use imagery and names from the client; does this violate any terms of agreements with Gamesalad/ Appstore? I'd imagine not, but I just wanted to be sure.

To sum it up.

1. Is there any process for generating randomized promotional codes that would grant the player a real life discount?

2. Is working with an existing brand a violation of Gamesalad's/ Appstore's agreements?

Not sure if this is in the right category.

Thanks for any help you can give me with this!

1.) You will have no way of knowing if a user received a code to get a discount, so they could just make one up, or spread the word. I would not depend on GameSalad's functions for that type of thing.

    2.) I'm not exactly sure.

    Hope this helps,

I'm not quite sure what you mean with:

    2. Is working with an existing brand a violation of Gamesalad's/ Appstore's agreements?

Do you mean, can you work with a brand that exists? If so, yeah that's no problem at all. GS doesn't get involved with your branding or anything like that.

    Thanks Jack!

I think it might work if have a link to an external page and generate the code there coupled with an appstore login or something. Not sure, when we figure it out I'll post it here for future reference.

Right on, I figured it'd be okay. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks!

I didn't think about using an external link! That would be a great idea!
