Making the screen scroll with the character

Hi, this is my first day with Game Salad, and I got to say that so far it has fulfilled all my expectations, it's just a great program. Anyway, right now I'm trying to create a Snes-esque rpg, meaning that the player sees the gameworld in a bird perspective. So to try it out, I have a background that is two iPhones long, an up-button and a character that moves when I push the up-button. When the character goes up, I want the background to start scroll with him. I tried applying Control Camera on the character. Nothing happens. I can't check the scrollable-box under Scene->Layers. I also tried to make the background move in the opposite direction of the character by applying Constrain Attribute when pushing the up-button, in the same way that I make the character move, but I'm sure there is a better way and that I am just missing something. All help is appreciated :)

You should check out the GameSalad cookbook as it has many basic, but useful information. I would also recommend going to the GameSaladCookbook's youtube channel (just search it), and search through those videos.

Let me know if this helps you out, or if you still cannot find the solution to your answer.

I'm happy to help, but I want to make sure you see some of the great resources in the community.

    Regards,

Thank you for answering. Yes, you're right, I haven't finished the guides and have yet to watch all the videos, I should do that. I was just eager to try out this specific function :P.
