I've just released my new app and have just written the press release, please if you could let me know what you think and any criticism would be greatly appreciated.

‘Bass Drop’ effortless dubstep creation for iDevices; dropping beats and wobbles in seconds.
Dubsteppers can now effortlessly perform bass lines and dubstep soundscapes using ‘Bass Drop’. The wobble bass keyboard and sound fx sampling, iDevice music app.

The convenient user interface facilitates multi-layer sound arrangement whilst briskly altering various samples and adding personalized character using the pitch and lfo controls.
It’s the perfect dubstep production aid for newbies, budding and professional producers wanting to quickly jam ideas or create electronic sounds. Speedily pick your drum loops and arrange the sample pads to create an arrangement. Then perform a wobble bass line with the built in synthesizer that provides the first ever LFO (low frequency oscillation) quick switching function. This LFO rate adjuster modifies the tonality and rate of your wobble sounds with a single press offering extended transformation of bass lines.

Each sample pad provides swift adjustment and full customization of pitch, volume and sample loop durations via the edit menu. As well as a large bank of sounds to choose from, including drums, bass sounds and special fx.
The keyboard provides rapid octave shifting, on the fly pitch bending and three diverse synths that can be further rendered using the volume envelope adjusters.

The app is free until June 1st 2012 and is available for download on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch 3Gs.

    as a musician/producer and "iOS producer" i think this is amazing. i once thought about making a music app with GS utilizing the looping feature with sounds and multitouch and pitch controls. but not having export options, midi controls and other features, i didn't go for it. but this is PHENOMENAL.

    i guess this would be good with iMic or some line it work around. i just downloaded it, its great work man.

    keep us updated on the app stats.

    also, why free first and then charge? you'll lose all your reviews when you switch to paid.

    but remember to switch back to free to get that huge boost from app-o-day sites.

    Yeah, you should release a paid version first, then lite. Or Do in App purchases. Doing a free then paid usually gets bad reviews and complaints when users want to update.

    Can you refer to them as 'Dubstep producers' rather than 'Dubsteppers' - it really sounds either childish or gangster. Slang terminology for apps will cause real producers to overlook as they will assume its not professional.

    And dont say dubstep soundscapes because they are the same as any other genre soundscape. Just use the term soundscapes / pads / fx etc.

    The first paragraph is not very well written grammatically, tbh. If its a punctuated point then put it with a point.

    I would have it as.

    //

    Bass Drop. Effortless dubstep creation for iDevices, enabling users to drop beats and wobble basslines in seconds.

    Dubstep Producers can now effortlessly perform bass lines, beats, fx and soundscapes using only ‘Bass Drop’.

    Bass Drop is the popwerful new wobble bass keyboard and sound fx sampling iDevice music app from

    Features:-
    - blah
    - blah
    - blah

    //

    Then you get a dubstep producer to play with it for free and give a one line review and put it at the end.

    If you want people to pay dont just bank on using the current 'trend' of dubstep being popular and using terminology to entice all those cracked up rich students to pretend they are producers - if the app is genuinely good then get everyone on board

    Hope this is helpful - btw i am a dubstep producer and an electronic producer for about 12 years (although the first few years as an producer will say is always crap)

    Shouldn't it be drag and drop beats? To drop a beat has a different meaning and got me confused.
    Also make the first line more appealing.
    It's a bit long.

    Hi guys, thanks for all the comments. In terms of the release strategy. I really wanted to get as many downloaders as possible for word of mouth but I didn't realise the negative implications in terms of getting poor reviews but in all fairness, every download link has a notation that the app will be free until the start of June. On the plus side I am having 80% of my reviews coming in as 5 star and the volume of reviews is around 3 times more than my past dubstep app wobble bass station, so i think that looks positive.

    @3xL thanks a lot
    @ BazookaBen , are the app a day sites the ones that pick up every time you do a price change to free?

    @arcticsunrise , thanks for looking over it, no one else picked up on those things, I was uncertain about that area on dubsteppers myself. Good shout, I will be releasing via PR Mac and email contacts tomorrow, so I will render the press release once more today and repost it. Are you still running a label like it says in your profile?

    @BazookaBen, did you do the 8-bit graphics in your games?

    Yes mate i still dj and run a label - although the label isnt dubstep - its been about since 06 and is more of a glitch/idm/drum and bass minimal label.

    @articsunrise sent you a secret link on facebook to a DnB tune I made. If you fancy a slot at tramlines festival or you know anyone else, wing over some mixes as I'm helping promote a bar at the festival in the middle of town and can sort out slots
