is there any way to save an actor out and then import it with all its rules and properties into another file?

allso a feature i think would be nice, would be the ability to color code your rule / timer/ group backgrounds, sometimes i have a lot of rules inside each other withg roups and timers, and colors would make it easier to tell at a glance how things are nested.

@rhinokey … I would be very leery of attempting an export/import of an actor with rules and behaviors … the rules/behaviors the actor has may reference conditions of other attributes not in your new game … so you might get a lot of nullValues that need to changed to get things to work … more work!

that said … you could strip everything but the attributes needed and the Actor(s) with the correct code… and save that project as a template for reusing that actor … just open it and start from there with your newProject …

to find specific rules/groups/behaviors … just double click their title bar and write in a description … always add something to remind yourself to √ Otherwise: of rules if you have behaviors there. … EX: Group: movement; Rule: touch > drag

IMO … GS takes the hassle out of commenting our code and finding sections we want to change

    Hey there,

nope, at this time there is no way to save 1 actor and import it into another game.

DBA has a tool that will merge 2 projects together but thats about it.

    cheers
