provisioning profile in publish is missing

I created a new provisioning profile to publish my app, but it does not appear in the drop down menu in the publishing window. Any tips? am i supposed to upload the downloaded profile somewhere?

Drag and drop the provisioning profile over the iTunes icon or the Xcode one.
