If you have added an mp3 to a project, and then wish to replace it with a different one, how do you remove the first one?

just go to the audio section...and select the clip you want to remove and then select the little "-" button in the bottom corner.

But make sure its not referenced anywhere first...otherwise you will have an audio hole!

    "audio section"? Where is that?

Next to the image library (next tab over)

Where is the image library? Where do you see these?

Dude...Looks like you REALLY need to do some reading first in the support section.

    http://gamesalad.com/wiki/gamesalad_intro

There are 3 tabs in GS.
    Behaviors, Images, Audio

Yes, it's hard with no instructions except the forum.

I just re-read the link you sent and there is no mention of an audio section or an image library. Where do you find these?

    Edit above:

There is A TON of helpful stuff in the support section and on wiki...TONS.
I spent 3 days reading before trying to do anything in GS.

Then I spent 2 weeks building a game that I then threw away....just to learn how things work.
Then I spent a month building my first game.
Now I am starting my second month...REBUILDING my first game so that it will work on a iPhone.

GS makes it easy...but you still have to work at it.

Thanks, Synthesis, I just found what you were referring to. I appreciate your help!

There is no finding them...they are just there when you open a scene....below your actor library.

Look just below where your actors are listed. It says "behaviors", "Images" , "audio"

I think you will find the tutorials useful. there are even videos. click support at the top of this website.

EDIT: Wow, not quick enough on the old keyboard here!

This is why relying on forums and wikis is limited. If you know the answer, you can find it. By just reading the how to, now I can see the image and audio tabs, but originally it is hard to see them when they are crossed out and obscured by lines and arrows, especially since there is no reference to them. This is why I was asking about a straightforward listing of where to do basic things like this.

Thanks to both of you for helping, now I can find where you can effect these resource aspects, and it is obvious what to do with them. This is why it is so important for developers to make their interfaces intuitive and have every aspect exposed to the user.

If not for this forum, I'd never have found the answers, you guys rock!

    A word of advice...
Generally when I start a new software...I spend about a week or 2 going through every single button/option that I can find and try to figure out what it does.

Only then do I try using the software for what it was intended for.
Fortunately with GS...it was simple enough that you could pretty much go through everything in a couple of days.

Now photoshop or Flash...that's another type of beast. Those things take forever to learn...and don't even get me started with 3DStudio or Autocad. UGH! Been using those for 15+ years now and can't figure them out entirely.
