Not sure what you mean... you don't see the pause and unease in the behavior list?

It is strange, check if you are using the latest release of GS (0.9.92), try to reinstall it. If it is not the latest one, upgrade.

it wouldnt let me upgrade to the latest version my macbook its compatible to loin i dont have table neither this version is what i have to work with

i upgraded it tells me can not be opened to my mac os x {i have 0.8.7}

i drag gamesalad to application and relauched but i cant open the new edition0.9

Well, that solves the mystery. I believe Pause did not exists in that version of GS.

You will need to either find a way to upgrade or implement pause yourself (like we used to do prior to Pause...)
