If I buy a template - could I dissect it?

I'm new to GameSalad and no expert when it comes creating games but have a great idea for one.
I've found only one template to buy (for $30) which pretty much matches my game type but mine would be slightly different as well as having lots of extra features.

If I was to buy the template, how much could I manipulate it, pull it apart and use what I want? It's not a large amount of money but I want to check to make sure I can make the most out of it.

Thanks.

It depends on who you buy it from and which template it is. But generallly yes you can pull it apart and mess with it. I would contact the owner of the template and/or read his terms of service.

The more you manipulate it the better. Templates are usually used as study material to learn how others do things with GS. :)

It's not only okay, it's encouraged :) Play with it, learn from it and make it unique as best you can.

The templates are standard projects, you have full control over it.

Does the copyright give me full ownership? and does me being on the Windows beta matter?

Templates made in Mac Creator don't work on Windows, yet.

Good job I checked! When are they likely to work on PC do you know?
    Thanks.

When is this update likely to happen? My 0.9.92 beta still says it's the latest version.
