How to make a swinging pendulum effect?

Is there a super simple way I can do this? Like give the impression something is hanging, like a clock pendulum, but when it is tapped or dragged it moves around, eventually restoring itself back to the original hanging position.

this thing is what im trying to do, but i'm still working on him, i need something like cut the rope. if someone know how to solve this let me know.

For a really good physic effect like cut the rope i think you'll have to wait as soon as we have joints. If you don't want it with physics than you can make it with a liitle math.
If you want it with physics and you don't want to wait until GS supports joints, you'll have to try by yourself. People have made things with gs that others thought that it's not possible without a special feature :D
    So good luck!

Here is one example of how to do a pendulum or (very stiff) rope. It is kind of math heavy (it uses vertlet integration). But it does work!

    Hope it works for you!

By the way, you can drag the 'nail' with the mouse and the pendulum will respond accordingly.
