a few days ago i released my title "Defend the Bunker" for free on the App Store

here are some stats on the free downloads
- day1 : 814
- day2 : 444
- day3 : 388

more details
- initial launch date: May 24th, 2012
- primary category : action, arcade
- secondary : entertainment
- the app was featured in about 160 places, all of which wasn't critical. I wish it were more downloads though. I didn't do any marketing.

i'd like to know your stats, to see what the average is. The more data we collect, the more informed choices we can make for app launches.

what kinds of places was your app featured? (the 160 places) and how did you get it there?

Well - when I set my app free, it got around 900 downloads the first day. It doubled the next day and continued to double..I got about 23,000 downloads during the time it was free.

@swalker it's a lot of those "new gamecenter games", "new ipad games with gamecenter", etc. I don't think they contribute much. At most about 100 downloads. I didn't do anything to get there.

I didn't get into the "New and Noteworthy" , or "Staff Picks" list, because that counts.

@bazookaBen - Penguin Pounce, my first title.
I didn't do any marketing (to bad, really) so I'm not sure how people found it.
There was a review site that featured it on their main page while it was free, that might have had something to do with it.

It was free for a week, then paid for another week and then set free again for about a week.
So it wasn't all in one sitting...About a week apart...

Not sure about which date it was free. I believe the after the first week it was released...

when you went paid, what did your revenue look like then?

@rhinokey - if your question is directed towards me, the sales were only good for the first day. I got about 5 extra sales - then after that it went back to the normal rate.

Hey Ben, how many IAP's of the full game (defend the bunker) are you getting per day? Are you thinking of adding additional IAP's such as coins to purchase bigger bombs to take out more enemy soldiers?
