sound compression?

Hello is there a good compression software for what GS likes for sound, i think it's OGG and aiff? I want to use about 13 sound files as loops for the background. Any suggestions on programs that loop and make small compressed files that GS likes and ideas on sizes I should consider.

    Hi eboy

    yes for SFX its OGG and good software to use if Audacity.
    But you may have an issue with a seamless loop, GS doesn't seem to be able to handle this perfectly yet.

    GameSalad can also use .caf, and a couple members have been reporting much better results with stability using .caf. I'm pretty sure ScorelessMusic talked about improvements switching to .caf with his Mozart to Infinity app, but I can't find the thread.

    I'm changing sound as we speak to .caf for my upcoming app. You can use the free application MAX to convert the format.
