Institutional Ads TERRIBLE idea!

I have scenes/levels that are very short that goes from anywhere between 10-15 seconds. Not only do I as a developer gets a warning every single time I test it, it will appear for the user too. If the user needs to restart the scene because they couldn't achieve a goal, there's an ad. If they pause, there's an ad, if they win, there is an ad. WTF???
HOW CAN I TURN IT OFF?

It's simple (although you might not like the answer)....upgrade to a pro account. As a pro account member, you can pick and choose what ad services (if any) to use.
Having the Playhaven stuff in there is one of the reasons GameSalad can continue to offer you the tools and publishing for free, and still survive as a business.

I can see that you guys will make a lot of money by this change. But why punish the publisher? We should charge the game players that are playing the games on the iTunes store for free all the time and not wanting to pay. Developers are already making 99 cents to FREE game to get more business, and we are being punished for popularizing developer tools too. I find this very unethical, especially the change comes without any warning.

This as a topic has been flogged to death and my comment is not aimed at anyone in particular.

As a free user I can agree that these 1 in 4 ads are a pain in the ass but..........

They are an essential pain in the ass for Gamesalad to continue.

If you are aiming to make money with GS go buy a pro license, it’s an investment in you and any potential business you may have.

If it’s a hobby then it’s the same as any other hobby

    example:

If your hobby was running marathons you wouldn’t do it bare foot would you? No you would go and buy a nice pair of running shoes! (with a big sports logo down the side, on the tongue and on the sole and not think twice about that forced advertising)

No such thing as a free lunch anymore folks if it every existed.

Sorry for the bad English but I went to a Comprehensive School.

If you want to give your customers the best game-experience you upgrade to PRO. If you make games just in your free-time or whatever you must go with this limitations. That's the buisness!! :)
For less ads: Don't use the behaviors "reset scene","reset game","pause game". Use change Attribute instead. That work wonderful for my game!! :)

I don't mean to be rude. I actually just joined yesterday (I have been developing iPhone games the "traditional way" for 2 years) and I am very impressed with Gamesalad immediately. I have a working game in less than 48 hours. I must say that while I would be glad to pay for anything that's worth its price but I was planning to try gamesalad more in depth before I buy. I felt like I was being "forced" to pay immediately. It would be better if there's some sort of 10 days trial period for PRO, a suggestion for the future.
