Testing Multi-Touch without an iPhone

Hey all,
Before I go ahead and spend $99 for Iphone publishing, I want to try out a few concepts and make sure it's worth the cost.

Unfortunately, beyond clicking / moving the mouse for touch 1, I can't really test out multi-touch unless I actually had an iPhone.

Is there any alternative? Also, are there any examples out for detecting multi-touch gestures, such as rotating or enlarging?

    There is currently no way to test multiTouch without a device...

    I also don't know of any multiTouch examples (you would still need a device to test them)

    Both pinching and rotating are both possible.

    You have access to all of the touches' X and Y positions. You're going to need to come up with the mathematics for determining pinch and rotate though.

    I guess you could get a touch screen monitor, but I'm not sure if gamesalad would even support that... You can't put your game on your/somebodys iphone/touch unless you pay the $99 anyway... So your options are $99/ Touch Screen monitor (which might not even work)....

    My advice just buy it and it'll will pay for itself very fast, even if you cant do what you want you can find something else and I guarantee it will pay for itself after you publish (if you put forth alot of effort and a good work ethic) and its getting updated all the time and it will get better and better trust me! Good luck:)

    just a note, even if you buy the $99 license, you still won't be able to test multitouch on a physical device without the $99 Apple developer license as well.

    Yeah, I figured it was possible s'long as you had the X and Y coords, but I'm not a fan of mathematics =]

    I'm sure if I made a quality game and got it on the app store it'd pay for itself, maybe for a year or two.. but I'm not sure at this point whether that's going to happen.

    @mulcahy
    That's an important point. Thankyou. A friend of mine has a dev license, I'm hoping to publish my games through him. I'll see what I can do. Thankyou.
