Did a search and didn't see any thread on this, so thought I'd pop in and mention http://nagademo.com where people are challenged to build a game in a month.
I've begun coding my new game using GameSalad and I hope to have something decent and playable before the end of the month. Looking forward to doing a proper "Announce Your Game!" thread then too.
