Hi there. ive had a brilliant idea with the game, and am currently working on sprites, images etc.
I would like to make this game available as an app for the iPhone.
It is a simple but enjoyable game about commanding a pirate ship. You play as the captain, recruiting and training up your men, before the other ship arrives to attack you.
You can prepare cannons to weaken the ship, or have better fighters to battle when the other enemies board your ship.
Much like other strategy games this involves pre planning before you are attacked and other things!
Graphics will be low coloured but effective to give off that simple look.
I think this would work really well on the iPhone, due to its simplicity!

anyone who thinks they can help with programming (i can too, but am not that experinced on iPhone related game creators) or any ideas that people have are welcome!

thanks, jamjam

That would be a really hard task with GS. I don't think, anybody can help.

In a strategy there is too much mathematics in the background. That is impossible to make with GameSalad.

Try to get an Xcoder on the http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/ but you will have to pay probably.

It is impossible to make a strategy game with GS.

You must look for an Xcoder, but you probably need to pay for him.

Hm... it seems I can't post. Or my post was filtered because of a link.

Anyway: it is impossible to make an RTS with GS. You need an Xcoder and they cost money.

    Good luck! :-)

ah ok. well thats why ideas were open. i mean, im currently making the sprites, so they could fit into many styles of game. their all isometric sprites. what sort of games would there be able to make on GS?

You can make pretty much anything that is 2D oriented. GS excels at physics based games.
Lots of examples in the Games section on this website. You just have to spend the time. NO coding knowledge required but coding experience is helpful in developing sound programming logic and optimizing your game.

ah ok. so would it be possible to make a isometric action RPG? like old zelda games? because alot of the games being made seem to be platformers or physics based games.

The GS game engine is physics based. Plinko or pinball would work great. Zelda is possible too...although challenging to get to work on a mobile device since the GS engine is so heavy right now (BETA).
