There seems to be a couple of ways of capturing video from Xcode's iPhone Simulator while using the accelerometer but as GS no longer used Xcode to publish is there another way of capturing video from the iPhone to demonstrate the game using the accelerometer?

There is only one solution as far as I know, where you install some server software on your machine and I believe you also need to jailbreak your iPhone to be able to install a client or such.

I have tried it once, but it's a year ago, or so.

The problem is, it can only show the general iphone screen on the computer. As soon you start an application, you only see a balck screen.

Maybe they developed it further, I don't know. You can find many videos on youtube, how to set it up.

sorry sloppy but I'm on my phone.

    2 things tht may help

first you can just use QuickTime to capture video of your screen and then you can crop it in iMovie real quick.

Second the only is this is not from your iPhone it is from gs te only problem is you see te mouse if you have to click whih most people leave and you don't even see it

therebis a new app in the app store for debs that shows whatever is in your iPhone on your screen inhabent tried it but that would fix the mouse issue

Few tricks to help if you use the gs viewer the iPhone frame actually loos cool if you leave that in te crop

    couple

    Thanks for your responses,

I've heard about VNC'ing with a jailbroken iPhone which I might do at some point but as I only have the one device I don't really want to go down that road right now.

I think I'll just record the desktop version for now. It won't show the full movement but with some decent editing I could work okay.

Maybe I'll put it on my GS wish list to have a way of recording the device while using GS Viewer or at least display what's happing on the device on the desktop and then we can use screen capturing software to record it =)

There was once I built a visualiser out of an iSight cam and some LEGO bricks... on Snow Leopard, I just used Quicktime Player on video record mode. When hooked to a video projector, it was the closest thing to live video visualization that I got. :)

    It was for a show-and-tell.

Vcns for iphones are really bad.
the quality is quite pixallated and like it takes up to 5 seconds to show what you do.
like if you tap the iphone it will tap it 5 seconds later on the vcn.
changing a sceen is a mess because it takes ages to re load the screen(you arrive at a certain point when you see half screen scene one and half screen scene two!) XD
    i do not advise it.
