iOS 6 beta - update problems?

hi,

i would to know if i update my iPad thir generation if i will have problems with development? (gs viewer or something like that)

any idea? will you update your device?

    I'm certainly taking the leap, there's some great features I really wanna get my hands on. This is one of those times I'm very glad to be able Apple Dev.

    Hey guys! Just a quick update from our side! We will be working on compatibility with iOS 6, but at this time we do not currently support it as it is a Beta deploy.

    Me personally I wont be updating to the beta unless I end up with a spare device. I dont like messing with betas on my main Phone. I dont think most of the coolness is coming to the iPhone 4 so it may not really matter all that much for me anyways.

    Ok, I just updated my phone to iOS6 Beta

    The viewer works just fine as long as you don't rotate your device. Somehow Apple changed the way screen rotation locks on iOS6. This will really be an issue testing games using the accelerometer in the viewer.
    I baked the viewer with Xcode 4.3.2

    This issue does not affect Gamesalad published games, just the viewer. At least my game (TriWord) works like a charm in 3GS. Haven't tried in my 4S as i don't want to mess with it yet!

    Anything new i'll keep you posted.

    Edit: I found a simple workaround for this problem, that works just for testing portrait games (not landscape sadly), and it's locking orientation (double tap home button, slide left and press "lock screen on portrait")

    I've iOS 6 on my 3GS and the Viewer works fine for me! :)

    If you wanna do it then do it. Be a leader not a follower. You will notice most of us here have not said Im waiting to what others have happen. We have sound reasoning to wait besides what everyone else is doing.

    When you get around to doing it though. be sure to post and let everyone know what happened. That way the followers have something to go off of. :)

    By Apple: Devices updated to iOS 6 beta can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS. Registered development devices will be able to upgrade to future beta releases and the final iOS 6 software.

    Yesterday i uptdated my ipad to iOS 6 and after some problems with the wifi i restored my backup. Now the gs viewer there isn't on my ipad and i just downloaded xcode 4.5 to install the gs viewer but i can't instinstall it because i can't see the name of my ipad as possible runnable devices. Did you have any problem? @Benjamin_m5

    I won't update even though i have like 5 devices because they are all jailbroken and i wont take it off. You can also try to install it through Xcode, and make it a simulator.

    Yes you will be able to download. they are many videos on youtube on how to do so. just follow one of the old ones as they are all the same.

    And with the gs viewer? I just tried my game but i can't press any button and i can't do anything? Anyone has installed it on an ipad third?
