i'm enjoying messing with game salad and have 2 games in progress, but i'm a windows user, the work i do pretty much demands i use windows. But i was thinking of getting me a cheap mac just to run game salad. so i could publish to iPhone and ipad. what would be the lowest spec machine that would run gs fine?

I was a windows user when I started a year ago and had never used a Mac. So, I bought a 2007 Mac Book with 2GB ram and it worked (still works) fine. I have since bought a new Mac Book but still use my older one as well.

A mac mini is the minimum. I use a 2 ghz Intel core 2 duo and it works just fine. Not for heavy photoshopping but for GS stuff it does the job.
But looking forward I'd try and get something a little better like @fryingbaconstudios suggestion

I've got a 2.4 core duo and I run apples motion with no problems. If it can do that as motion graphics in 3d is as intense as it gets..it can handle anything. My son has the i5 and it's way more powerful than my core duo.
