AppPlaza™ - Submit your apps.

Hello all -
I am starting AppPlaza™. App Plaza is a community of quality applications designed to give people a single app of which they can go to for quality applications. Your app (if approved) will have it's icon displayed within the app, and will contain a direct link to the iTunes Store.

Things to note -
- This is a free service, and I will not be taking any bribes for acceptance.
- Non-Contract (Since you are not losing anything, sort of like submitting your app to review sites).
- Possibility of Denial (I reserve the right to not accept any application without reason).
- Might not make it to the AppStore (This could fall below the line in Apple's guidelines. If it does, it will be Facebook based.)

What I need -
Link
Icon
Promo code
Facebook like - http://www.facebook.com/pages/App-Plaza/435380466486023

What would be great - If someone could design an icon for me, your game (if approved) could have first page placement.

The AppPlaza app will be free on the AppStore.

To apply, send an email to globalwhirl@gmail.com with a promo code so I can demo it, and icon, and a link to your app.

Thanks!

I can see where you're coming from.

Acceptance is based on the quality of the app. Placement is up to me and negotiating for different placement terms is ok. I don't think I will have a specific way to place them, as it will likely be first come first served. I am also thinking about splitting it up into categories. So if you want games you would go to the games page, but if you want weather, you could go to the weather page.

Does anyone have ideas of how to get around Apple's guidelines of not influencing the charts?
My argument is going to be that submission is free and we are open to all developers submitting their apps. I hate to go the only Facebook route.

Can you provide more details on your app? If it is just icons and links, Apple will not approve it.

What is the value to the user? why people will download it?
Is it going to be free or paid? Ad based?

Placement is not an issue, if you want to be fair - make it random. My concerns is simply, why would a user use your app and not go to the App Store to see lists of apps?

I think ideas of helping to promote community apps are great, but you might need more substance to get this one to fly.

I was thinking of expanding the project, and partnering with some app review sites. The app review editors would have a place to go for quality apps, and devs could collaborate easier.

I was thinking of each app having it's own page with links to reviews, screenshots, perhaps facebook links.

It will be free and I'm considering having iAds in it.
