The Non-Retina Splash Screen

I'm about to submit my app, but this non-retina splash screen is making me uncomfortable.

Have Apple started rejecting apps that aren't totally retina yet? That seems like something they would do, rightly so I think.

Also it's kind of crappy that the first thing a customer will see after the icon is a fuzzy splash screen, I think it will probably make them think they've wasted their money. Sure it isn't up for too long, but first impressions and such.

Is this on the list of things for a future update? I don't think it will delay my release (unless I get rejected), but it seems like something necessary to show that GameSalad creations can be as polished as things made from scratch.

EDIT: (This is all iPhone related)

My app takes just long enough to load that I think having no splash screen would confuse users, and because there is no spinning dial I'd be nervous Apple would reject it for not informing the user.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon and I can add a retina splash screen in a .1 update.

I've actually taken to the process of just having a loading image as my custom splash and then my first scene is an animated splash. You could even dress it up to match the theme of the game but I prefer that since we cannot have video splash screens.

I'm bummed out now, the artist spent ages making an awesome splash screen that would look like junk when blurry.

Might try the simple "Loading" for the splash screen, then showing an image when it start, but that's going to require testing to make sure it doesn't break things. Thus pushing the release back.

Why is there no retina graphic options for the splash screen on either iphone or ipad, or am I missing something?
Seems to me an important place for it to have good quality graphics, first impressions and everything...

Is there a timeframe for this fix? Along with the icons in retina being showed blurry?

The blurry icons will need to be fixed soon surely, as from July Apple is only accepting 1032 x 1032 sized icons.
