Here's my dumb mistake - what's yours.

When I work in GS I use artwork created in GIMP and SketchBookPro, and I add "invisible" buttons (zero opacity shapes) for users to click to make stuff work.
I spent hours yesterday trying to work out why my buttons worked, and then stopped working after a few seconds.
Old hands will probably have guessed this one already - but - I forgot to uncheck the "movable" attribute of the actor, resulting in gravity pulling the box down and out of the screen.
A true Homer Simpson moment. D'oh!

I've done that before except my main character (visible) was falling before the scene loaded, and when it got to the scene, he was gone! That was probably more dumb that your mistake.

One of the first things I do when I'm dealing with a challenging bug, is to make my invisible actors visible. It gives me a good guide along the timeframe that the bug is happening. Glad you worked it out.

At least you worked yours out. I spent a year making my complicated game but only did a bit of research about features because I figured it wasn't too hard. So I made my game in 960 x 640 camera size for retina display and made everything on the one scene to stop loading times. Only to find out that it won't work because it has to be 480 x 320 with independence check. So I started a different project because I don't want to look at it. So the lesson I learnt was to read and ask questions first even if they are silly or noob questions because it could just save a year of delevoping :) so read before you make everyone who is new :)
