wow really?... Doodle Jumper?

Yes, if you haven't seen it already there is a game called Doodle Jumper that was released on the app store today. The char looks just like the one from Doodle Jump minus 2 legs and the game looks crappy. It's really a shame what Apple lets through the cracks. I really hope nobody gets fooled into buying this :(

    @ Elie- doing good here. You? I've been busy w/ school but im working on something new. should have an early version coming out soon. How's your game coming along?

    TOTAL RIPOFF

    The website and support links go to Facebook (which protects identity)...and the creator/author's name is Asian (if that really means anything...but is suspicious since a lot of piracy/copyright infringement is Asian born).

    The game looks like crap...and I thought Doodle Jump was crap too. Plus...why copy a $.99 app in the top 100...especially if you cannot do it better or cheaper...What's the point.

    But alas...no original concept is sacred in the global marketplace. Different name and different background apparently satisfies Apple's copyright ethics. However...if this app is successful...I wouldn't be surprised if the Doodle Brothers don't file litigation against it...or at least contact Apple.

    We shall see.

    @synthesis- sounds about right. i doubt it will push many copies, but there are those people out there that will just buy it and find out they've been scammed later.

    @ejsgame- traffic ninja was doing 10-15 paid for a while when I started the contest and after pushing 7000 copies on the free day promo, but has gone back down to 2-3 again.

    Doodle jump (the original) may be a crappy game for some, but they're the ones laughing all the way to the bank :)

    It's amazing what sells in the app store ie: Cupcake games, there's really no rhyme or reason to what makes a great seller, so the app store never ceases to amaze me with what hits the top 100

    I bought doodle jump, I like it, gets hard up there though.
    @crazyB! haha! that's good! can't wait to see it. We took a few weeks off but now were back in full. Should be able to see something new in a few weeks ;P

    Mine was more honest.

    Aside from the ripoff factor the game sucks. No variation and x does not wrap so you can just hug the side and not die.

    And no global scores i mean who doesn't have global scores these days lol
