I am looking to invest sometime into creating a basketball game with actual players, similar to a nba 2k (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nba-2k12-for-iphone/id441701963?mt=8) before i get started doing art and creating rules and stuff is this even possible with game salad. Will it require more animation, can i create player ratings, things like that or is this idea to extensive for game salad. I really like the game salad platform, and I am looking to create a basketball app for the iphone, ipad and mac os x.

Possible, I would say yes (but no multiplayer, limited AI, collision might be an issue, lots of animation)

It will require a very high skill level in GS.

I do agree with eatingmyhat it is possible but not plausible.
How would you get around the 3d? It would be way to many 2.5d images for gamesalad. I just made a fake 3d game and it was crazy amount of animation and still nothing close to that good luck. But don't not use game salad just make something different.

Thanks! I was a little worried about AI, getting players to react to situations and such and how far I could go with features such as season, playoffs, player and team creation. As far as art is concerned I thought the 3d would be difficult but I think something like this could work. http://videogamecritic.net/images/gen/bulls_vs__blazers.gif
