making character help please

iv made some characters in paint, but when i put the character into gamesalad it has the white background behind the character because i made it in paint, please help thanks

    MS Paint does not support image transparency, therefore it will always save with a background. Try using other free more advanced image editing softwares such as: http://www.getpaint.net/ or http://www.gimp.org/.
    To then save an image without a background you would obviously delete the image's background which will leave you with a checkered background, which tells you that it is transparent, and then you would save the image as a .png file.

    Oh just one question, can i import an image into paint.net program and get rid of the background? if so how? thanks

    Install the program on your computer. Take the image that you would like to edit, right click it, and choose "open with" the program that you have just installed. Then once the image is open in the program, use the wand tool to select the background, delete it. Then save the image as a .png file.
