The Gendaigames tutorials?
![Kris](http://forums.gamesalad.com/applications/dashboard/design/images/defaulticon.png)
Hi guys,
Trying to do a few tutorials with Gendaigames (who are they? Are they part of Gamesald?) but running into problems.
Mainly, no link to art in the shoot em up game. Bit frustrating. Have I missed it?
After having no luck with that, I went onto another game, and this time the guy said there was a link in the description which will take you to the wiki source files for the game.
It didn't. It took me to the Gamesalad cookbook/tutorial page. I can't see the files.
Am I missing something?

The Gendai Games tutorials are really dated now and are definitely not the best practices for creating those games.

As for the link it sounds like it's an old tutorial linking to an article before the cookbook came around
If you're learning Gamesalad i recommend you take a look at tshirtbooths excellent video tutorials
I tried Tshirtbooths Boggle tutorial, but it was a little over my head. I think it's meant for people that have a bit of an understanding of GS.
The Gendaigames tutorials seemed to go through each process, and explain each process, one by one. Only problem is, there are no source files.
And they dominate the 'Gamesalad tutorials' search on youtube. It's a bit frustrating.
I'll have another go at Tshirtbooths tutorials again, I think. I've been learning quite a bit, and might be ready for them. I just want to absorb everything I can before I start work on a game
Gendai Games...
Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time...
...a long long time.
(OK, normal voice now)
Gendai Games is what GameSalad [the company] used to be called.
I've done a couple step-by-step tutorials with source files and videos you might find useful. Check them out if you have time:
