We found that your app, and/or its metadata, contains content that could be misleading to users, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.

Your app is leveraging the "Tour de France" as the app name is listed as "Tour de Schleek".

It would be appropriate to change the app name so that it won't be leveraging the "Tour de France".


... How Stupid is this ?? , there are so many apps with angry ... ore doodle .. with the same game style.

Honestly, I don't know what the game is about. I couldn't help you unless I actually knew what you were supposed to do. All I see is some stick figures and a snail on a bike.

Ok. Dont know if you are in cycling or not. Im from luxembourg an the game is for the luxemburgish market because we have two great rider frank and andy schleck. Game is tour de schleek and schleek means slug. Thats why i put a slug on a bike. ... But no where in the game you see the word france or a name of any rider. Is just a fiction cycling game inspired by the tour france yes but not trying to misleading users with it.

Weird reason . . i don't think people could mispronounce "schleek" with "france". And recently apple store have many scam program. A few days ago i browse apple store and i found "flash player" application that definitely not "adobe flash player". It was a stupid game with no sense of gameplay. How did it get into apple store? And the most absurd thing was they sell it for $9,99. It's totally scam!!!!!

The only thing you can do is appeal the decision or Change the name.

I have a feeling theres more to it than just a similar name though.

What were some of the keyword search options you used in iTunes connect? Did you include Tour de France? The reviewer may have seen that and associated your title name with Tour de France. Hey, it happens sometimes, particularly when someone sees a foreign word that they don't know or bother looking up (and in actuality, it is not their position to look it up).

There is clearly nothing wrong with what you did here. Check your keywords and add the meaning/definition of the title to the review notes when you resubmit it. It would be worth contacting them as well.

Agree with the other guys; and as @RP perhaps they didn't like it if Tour de France" was a keyword somewhere...

As @tenrdrmer said about name-change; heave a sigh, shrug, change the name, try again, and hopefully you'll be good to go...

@Shark1505 mentioning "Snail on a Bike"; I find this 10 times a more appealing game title than "Tour de Schleek" - just my ten cents worth....

thx guys for your respond, but the word france is not in kewords ore some where in the game. i have send this information also to apple as appeal. that my game is simple a fiction cycling game inspired by the tour the france . there is tour de suisse , luxembourg, spain etc etc and my game is simply tour de schleek. i used no real name or any thing. only "tour de" but i dont think there is a copyright on this its a normal french word. so i really dont understand.

Unfortunately, we're unable to provide pre-approval. In order for your application to be reconsidered for the App Store, please resolve the issue communicated in the previous correspondence, upload your new binary for review if a new binary upload is required.

Please be sure to update the app name to be displayed on the iOS home screen once the app name is changed in the iTunes Connect so that both names match so that it would be in compliance of the App Store Review Guidelines 3.4.

nice now i can resend the binary wait another 2 weeks an the tour the france is finish, but would be better for the sales to release it now. also i worked hard to released it before the tour de france (sleepd 3-4 hours get up worked on the game etc

Just resubmit, you got a bad reviewer.

In the note to reviewer write that Schleek means slug and the game is a slug race. State that there is no connection to Tour De France and no attempt to make that connection in the same way that other bike races are called 'Tour De ...'. 'Tour De' is just the france word for it and is not in any way copyrighted or property of anyone or anything.

You can also add in your descriptions something like:
- This game is fictional and not based on true events, both the game and the slugs are not affiliated with Tour De France

That's that.

i change the name to Course de Schleek ( Race of Schleek) reupload it to apple and hope it will pass. Even if the decision of apple is wrong, but i dont think i will win the fight with the mighty apple so yeah i will change the name and forget about it.

but this reminds me of a true story.
in luxembourg city there is a little restaurant
is called apple a day check the logo at the web page http://www.appleaday.lu/
and believe it or not apple has taken this little restaurant to the tribunal because of the Name and logo. This went all the way up to the european tribunal in strasbourg and at the end the restaurant has won.

Ok update on this ,
app was back in review , after few minutes i got the you app will require additional review time
mail .....
after 3 days i wrote an email to apple if there are any concerns maybe i could help or if something is wrong. and it would be important to release the app soon because i had an interview on a big radio station over the app ....
now i got a reply from apple

Yes, I am very annoyed with Apple for a similar reason: I made an app that overlays a shatter image on the screen, and Apple rejected it because "the app's purpose is to mislead users to believe that their screen is cracked". It was most obviously a fake crack..... I spent a lot of time programming it, and now I'm thinking about the Android market....
