Hi. When I copy a scene and make changes to the new scene all the changes are also made in the original. Any ideas?

Did you rename the scene? Also, why do you have to copy it, usually, it works just as well by remaking it.

Yep. Renamed the Scene. Doesn't help. All changes to the new copy still affect the original.

Its tough to remake because I'm working from a template. Recreating the template from scratch ten times would be a nightmare.

Can you be more specific about the type of changes you are making? Are you just moving actors around on the scene? Are you changing rules inside of actors? Are you changing actors' attribute values? ...

Hey Tatiang. It seems any change is duplicated. For example...If I rename an actor in the copied scene the actor name also gets renamed in the original. If I add a new image to to an actor in the copied scene the actors image in the original is also changed. There seems to be no independence between the two.

Are you aware of the difference between an instance and a prototype of an actor (http://cookbook.gamesalad.com/tutorials/1/parts/4)? Are you editing the actor in the scene window or in the Inspector? Does this happen with new project files or just with the one you're working on?

Lastly, if you want to send me your file zipped, I can take a look. Just click on my nickname and then on Message to the right of my nickname.
