Support for Google Nexus 7 Tablet??

I am just getting into Android publishing and was about to pick up a used Kindle Fire for testing and saw that the Nexus 7 is coming out in a few weeks. The resolution is slightly larger than the Nook/Kindle at 1280x800 and it looks pretty like a way better tablet. I am wondering if I should hold out for one of those?

CHEFS:
Is GS planning to support that resolution? Or does anyone know if the Nexus will upscale the graphics on its own to accomodate all the 1024x600 content that is already out there?

Thanks!!

While I can't answer most of your questions, I do know that the Kindle Fire is the EASIEST device I have ever tested on. I mean, leaps and bounds easier than Nook and even more so than Apple devices. Publish an apk through GS, then email yourself the file. Open, and done. And its the real deal, not even an adhoc, so you'll be testing the actual file you would be submitting.

    That is definitely helpful, thanks.

Still wondering if the Nexus 7 will be supported.

    Nexus 7” - 1280x800 HD display (216 ppi)
    vs.
Kindle Fire -1024 x 600 pixel resolution at 169 ppi
    vs.
    Samsung Galaxy 7 -1024 x 600 pixels, 7.0 inches (~170 ppi pixel density)
    vs.
Samsung Galaxy 7.7 1280x800 pixels, 7.7 inches (~196 ppi pixel density)

So while that specific resolution may not be supported the day it is released, its coming Im sure

And then in Q3 this year, the Kindle fire 2 is slated to be released... with guess what...
1280x800 HD Display, and "about 30% greater pixel density"... which sounds to me like it'll be 216 ppi or damn close, (169ppi / 100 =1.69*130=219.7ppi)

So unless Kindle support gets dropped from Gamesalad entirely, or they decide to not support the New Kindle Fire 2, you should have a perfect fit in the coming months.
