how do i use in app purchase?

Let's say that you have a platform game, and player lose all his lives. He can buy new ones inside the game.
For example - I can buy 5 Hearts for 0.99
Or I can download the game for free, play it, and decide that I want a full version. I can pay inside the game to unlock it.

ok lets say if i wanted to make a free game and pay for a full version, how would i do it? just drag and drop the in app purchase in to my playing screen?
