won't let me download game salad viewer

After following all the steps in the video, Xcode said it didn't support the version of my device and I'd either have to downgrade my device or install a new version of Xcode (even though I installed the latest version). What do I do?

    Questions. What version of xcode are you using? What iOS do you have installed on your device? What OS are you running?

    well Xcode is 4.2.1 (actually not sure if that is the latest version)
    5.1.1
    macbook pro 10.7.4

    What if you are Snow Leopard ? I want to test 5.1.1 but dont want Lion

    Unfortunately Snow Leopard only supports up to Xcode 4.2 which won't work for iOS 5.1.1. Your only option is to upgrade if you want to test 5.1.1. Personally I'd wait for Mountain Lion which is due out anytime soon if you were to upgrade

    hmm. looks like i will finally have to upgrade to lion then - i havent done any gamesalad dev for a while - i should have left my ipod on 5.0 grrrr

    mind you ML is due any day as well - if i buy lion update surely ill have to but Ml as well - i but there wont be a free update if i do it the day before or something... might have to wait

    Hey guys, I just found this thread because I am having a lot of trouble trying to get this viewer on my iPad. I have looked at the tutorials and videos and nothing is working. Could someone please help me with this?
    Maybe we could Skype screen share and I can show you what I am trying to do, then you could just guide me on what I am doing wrong.
    I have the latest versions of everything by the way.

    And you have a developer account and installed the provisioning profile your using to install viewer on your iPad?
