Just how BAD is spawn behaviour?

HI guys!

I was making my game and was contemplating using spawn, but I read everywhere that using it is not a good idea.

SO I am just asking how bad is it?
in specific terms, is there an obvious effect when using spawn on and iPhone 4+

    Depends on how much your spawning, if your destroying the spawned actors shortly after, ect.

    Its not as bad as it was, but that doesnt mean you should be spawning an actor every second for the whole game, or not recycle if you can.

    I was wondering this too. With Max Vector I used spawn for the bullets... BAD idea... I was wondering if by simply recompiling now, since GS is better, would it make much difference to the performance of the game? Or should I look at redoing the bullet system for the update (if I can be bothered - lol).
