Hi all,

My Nexus 7 came in today! I will be testing out games to see if and how well they work on the new tablet.

I will be posting the results soon.

Wow, I have some exciting news!

    1. Testing of this device is as easy as testing on any other Android device.

    2. The game is Beautiful and runs pretty smoothly.

    3. There is a sound delay, but I don't think it is as bad as the Kindle sound delay.

    4. There are black bars around the device, but I didn't resize it, so it might likely go away after resizing.

    5. The only thing I see wrong is that you cannot access your notifications while playing...I don't know if that is true for all games or just GameSalad.

Overall, I'm super excited to publish to this device!

    Thanks for the heads up.

Which platform are you using for the export option? Kindle/Nook or 720p? The Nexus 7 has a screen resolution of 1280x800 so it's a little more dense than the kindle/nook.

Hopefully the GS crew can figure out that getting rid of the extra 20 pixels in the viewer is the correct way to fix the black bars problem so we can move forward and start delivering apps for another expanding and hungry market.

I'm so behind the times, but does Nexus 7 have a separate app store we can publish to? I've been reading it's in competition with the Kindle and Nook devices?

Nope, its a Google Product, so it will be the play store for sure.

@RacetotheMoon - Acutally publish an iPhone version, which is probably why it has those back bars. I am setting up a proper build for it today. Ill post about it here when I'm done.

@butterbean - Nope, It's the Google Play store, as @3igt correctly stated.

Just a friendly bump for those who missed this...

Yeah, I'm still curious how you're going to get an app at proper resolution since the kindle/nook option in the tool is set for 600x1024 and that doesn't properly scale to the 1280x800 resolution of the Nexus 7.

I'd love to go pick one up to try things out, but that's not currently an option. I may opt to get one of the new kindle Fire tablets, whenever they launch later this summer.

Let us know how things pan out, if you want to post any pics that would be sweet too! :)
