HTML5 info..?

Hi guys,

Well, I passed my first milestone today, when I received my first rejection letter from the app store. Seems my 'user interface is not of sufficient quality' - a rather vague criticism, I thought, but this IS my first submission.

As part of the response, it was suggested that I consider building a HTML5 app instead. With this in mind, I headed back over to GS to locate the info, but am having some difficulty. Maybe it's because it's still morning, maybe its staring me in the face, but I've checked out the cookbook, and searched using the term on the forum, and have yet to find info specific to publishing as HTML5 using GS. Am I missing something? Is it because the process is so simple that there's no need of special info?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...

Your App can only be a 480x320 app for html5 and its something that is only going to be hosted on GameSalad.com

And yeah it is so simple it doesn't really need much explanation for publishing since its just a matter of clicking a different icon in the first publishing menu.

When apple sends that reject letter suggesting an HTML5 app its their way of saying there is nothing to your app as it stands right now. (meaning it needs more content/depth) I highly suggest you reanalyze what it is you were wanting to make and beefing up the app with a bunch more useful content and then resubmitting.

@tenrdrmer When you say 480x320 is the screen size, would you recommend me making my background images that size, or will the gamesalad arcade screen adjust the pre-built size accordingly? Also, you said that the game will 'only' be hosted on GameSalad. Is there any way that I can make my game come out in a format that doesn't instantly go to the arcade? Or if not, is there a way to make it so that you pay to play a game on the arcade? I'm just wondering. I'd like to see what my options are, money-wise. Especially since I got the windows version, and I can't do anything android or apple related unless I have a mac, or become a paying suscriber. :P

For HTML 5 yes. Just match the image sizes to the actors. There is my high rea options there.
