Why Gamesalad... Why?

Why is it that loading and posting variables from a server is not on the short term roadmap? Per the last interview on twitter it is a long-term thing?

With the proliferation(and success) of multiplayer games why would this not be a priority? Especially when it is actually working (Kiip, Game Center, etc would not work if the capability was not in there).

Why are you not making simple loading & posting of variables available to your users? Seems like it a business decision and not a technical one...so why?

The reason is the main priority of GameSalad is to increase loading time and fixing very important bugs, like not being able to publish to the Mac AppStore or Google Play. New features like that only come when everything works properly.

Of course fixing bugs is a priority, but the New feature being talked about here is sending and loading variables. That's something that we could do with html/javascript for a decade. And it is key to multiplayer games. Multiplayer is no longer "new" in the casual game space it is expected.

I would really like to see the Game Center "Turn Based Multiplayer" feature supported.

That's my personal dream for Game Salad features coming up.

Seeing as it's a Game Center feature, I could imagine it being something easier to integrate into Game Salad, than other sorts of multiplayer support.

I have been dying for this feature. I am about to put together a presentation for a VC group in my home town so that I can hire someone to create an online version of my science curriculum. If we had this feature I could do most of the work myself and create an iPad version of my curriculum. Currently there is no way for me to send student scores/grades to a data base that the teacher has access to. So instead of using gamesalad to do this project I need to look elsewhere. Bums me out!

If you want more features learn to code and use another engine and stop complaining about GS it is what it is.

@SaladStraightShooter, thanks for the response. I do have a question though. If Gamesalad can read an internal table, why is it so hard not to read a table from an external location? I guess what I'm saying is I understand priority in development etc. But I can't imagine it's that many cycles to put in. I can't imagine that there isn't some developer inside Gamesalad just itching to make this happen.
