Is there anyway to make your own loading scene and loading bar instead of the default circle?

No, the little circle is all we get.

You can create your own loading scenes by kinda spoofing it, right before you change scenes throw a full screen image up.

It's just a fake. A I said above, just show a full screen image right before change scene, that will stick around during the loading.

How do you know how long it takes it to load? Is there a rule to coverup the circle or something?

usually it depends on how smooth your game goes

Is there like an attribute or something? How do you code it so the scene only takes as long as the actual loading does?

i don't know about that, but if you have a lot of code on the next scene it takes longer to load, just like a webpage with lots of stuff on it compared to a webpage with nothing on it

you are overcomplicating it.

all you do is display an image right before you call the change scene action. when you do this, the image is stuck on the screen while it loads the new scene. when the next scene loads, the image is gone.

that's it, nothing special, just display an image.

In Wild Surf we used comics as our loading screen, just to make it a bit more interesting.

If I did that, would the "fake" image coverup the loading circle or would it still be there?

The loading circle will still be on top...

Not that I've come across. You could try to play it off like you wanted it to be there. (Like put up a little box behind it with a picture of your character in the middle or something, so it looks like you made the loading wheel to go around your character.. just a thought....)

The loading wheel will always be on top of everything you have in the bottom right. It's a requirement by apple to have a loading indicator and this is the implementation that gs has decided to go with.

I don't expect us to have any more options in the near future. Faking a loading screen is your best option
