Publish as New - not working??????

Publish as new does not put a new game up. I was hoping to create two similar games and I did not want to ahve to start over completely, but when I save as... and give it a new file name and make some changes and publish it it just replaces the first version even though I clicked on publish as new. I've tried changing the title and the file name. Nothing seems to work.
