I actually have a game idea on deck that would utilize this splendidly!

    That looks really... fluid :))

Nice work. If you don't mind me asking, is that heavy on the processor at all?

For where's my water, couldn't you make a level generate by a table that spawned smallish actors in designated cells, then have that actor destroy or move to a point out of the camera if touch is inside?

Or would my computer explode when GS tries to wrap it's mind around that? :)

Not too bad atm but i would imagine it would be too much for GS to handle if you did more water actors (got 30 in there atm).

The water seems very realistic. Very cool!

I tried to make something similar a while back but it was with like 100000000 tiny blue circles and my iPod could not handle it XD

Is there any chance of a template? I have some ideas for improvement. A lot of ideas, including adding lighting. It's possible, I know it.

The trick was to have a small actor that collides with walls and itself etc then have a bigger actor for the water and set it behind the layer...works well but i think it would kill GS if i took it any further unless i can think of another method.

I have an idea - just make a background with actors - some tunnels, caves, etc. Then add a tutorial inside the game, and tell player to use a knife, to make a little hole in the upper part of his iDevice, and pour some water inside :P

LOL and a warning!...We are not responsible for any damage you may cause to your device :P

    This looks very realistic!
And also as you say, it may destroy your device!

We are going to put this out as a free template when we get the new site finished soon.

It's a very cool effect. Tried it, loved it, but it would kill any device. So, while trying your water effect (and after buying a stormy studio pack), many trial and error, I've come up with this simulated water flow that works really nice and doesn't affect the performance of the device to a point it's not usable! :)

There are still things I'm working on, like water accumulation, that can already be done but then the "water" behaves a little erratic. I'll try :)

Another test. This time I've drawn a simple scenario while trying collision effect in the water and such.

    @alimpo83

    That's looking great ! : )

    P.S. You've spelt 'you're' wrong ('your a stupid pixel').
  • alimpo83alimpo83 Member Posts: 188
Thanks, Socks. "your" a stupid pixel was done by stormy (since I've used his template, so the spelling is his ;)

Lol, anyhow having 'your' instead of 'you're' in the context of being told 'you're stupid' kinda' works !

    : )

Gamesalad is great. Just when you think it cannot be done, it suddenly can ;)
