Progress Video - Shop and Inventory Screen (using writable tables)

Hey! It's been a while since posting anything! Here is a work in progress video which shows my shop and item/equip screen in my upcoming game 'Pocket Sweetie'. The game is aimed at young girls, so the content might not be to everyone's taste, but the principles I used in designing the shop/item screen will transfer across to other genres. A very short explanation is that I used writable tables to make this possible. If anyone has any questions (or suggestions) please ask and I'll do my best to help out. Thanks for looking!

I want to create a simple matching game for an event I'm planning. I found yours to be what I needed. Did you create this from scratch? Or did you start with templates?

Did you learn how to use GS from tutorials?

I already have templates and it's easy to copy/paste stuff but I want to learn the logic/principles behind every rule and behavior.

Here's what I need to figure out:

Rules for flipping cards (and flipping them back if there is no match)

Rules for checking flipped cards for a match.

Please point me in the right direction - books to read, links to helpful tutorials, videos, etc. Thanks!
